Frequently asked questions
What if we're not quite sure yet what we need?
That’s what the no-obligation initial consultation is for!
Book an online appointment with me. We’ll discuss your goals and I’ll recommend the best next steps—i.e., how I can support you photographically and organisationally.
Here’s the link to the consultation appointment.
How far in advance should we book?
Lead time is especially important for planning and concept development to ensure a well-organised, efficient, and successful production.
For individual business portraits or new LinkedIn profile photos, 3 to 7 days’ lead time is usually enough.
For employee photos in larger teams (from 8 people), team shoots, or event photography, 2–4 weeks is usually ideal.
For larger corporate reportages, employer branding, and brand photography projects, I recommend at least 3 weeks’ lead time.
Do you also shoot outside Berlin?
Absolutely! Definitely.
However, travel costs for getting to and from Berlin will apply. These will be communicated in advance and agreed with you.
I work with clients across Germany and internationally.
How long is the turnaround time?
As a rule, I need for editing and retouching:
- Individual business portraits: 1–3 business days
- Employee photos / team images: 3–5 business days.
- Event photography: 48 hours (basic editing)
- Corporate reportages & brand projects: 7–10 business days.
Express delivery available for an additional fee.
No package fits quite right. What now?
Let’s talk and we’ll find a solution.
Are you looking for outdoor shots—in the government district, in Kreuzberg courtyards, by the Spree, or at the canal? At a specific place?
Maybe the BUSINESS on LOCATION package is already the right fit.
In all other cases, please contact me directly—ideally via my contact form, or by phone: +49 179 2244539 or email info@jasperq.photography.
Which outfit for a business portrait or profile photo?
For your business portrait, LinkedIn profile photo, or employee photo, choose your outfit as if you were going to an important meeting with your best potential new client.
If a suit or blazer is required, you should wear that outfit to the shoot as well. In general, a blouse or shirt in subtle colours, long-sleeved, and without bold patterns or logos works best for formal portraits.
Feel free to bring a few different outfits to the shoot. I’m happy to help you choose.
All outfits should of course be stain-free and wrinkle-free—but that goes without saying. It’s best to use a garment bag if you’re bringing additional outfits. That helps prevent excessive creasing.
And always: stay true to yourself.
Your clothing should suit you and your personality, fit well, and make you look great. If you feel comfortable in your outfit, it will show in your portraits and profile photos.
You’ll find a few more tips in these blog posts:
Changing outfits...
Feel free to bring a few extra outfits to the shoot. I’ll be happy to help you choose.
From experience, I can say that with about a 1-hour photoshoot, you can change your outfit once—at most twice.
What’s always quick and easy:
- With and without a blazer or waistcoat (tie, bow tie, …)
- Hair up or down (if your hairstyle allows)
- Glasses on or off.
- …maybe even a quick shirt change, or throwing on a jumper.
It’s best to see during the shoot what works best.
Can we shoot in our office or workshop?
Yes, of course!
I bring a mobile studio and lighting setup for on-site shoots. If we’re photographing multiple colleagues, producing a corporate reportage, or creating new team/brand content, this is the most common approach.
On site at your office, workshop, or studio, or completely outdoors, or at a location of your choice.
Where is your photo studio?
Studio portraits are created in my jqp photo studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg 61.
If we have time (from a 1-hour shoot) and feel like it, we can also take portraits outside on the street and in the immediate vicinity of the studio, e.g. by the Landwehr Canal. This part of Berlin-Kreuzberg is very well suited for that.
There’s also the option to shoot on site at your place—at the office, in your home office—or completely outdoors or at a location of your choice.
Just write to me and tell me what kind of imagery you need. It’s best to use my contact form, or call me directly on +49 179 2244539.
How does selecting the images work?
After our photo session together, you’ll get access to an online gallery. At your leisure, you can view your portraits and the images we created and select your favourites—the best shots.
I’m also happy to support you with the selection via an online meeting.
I use picdrop from Berlin as the gallery system. It allows for fast, step-by-step, convenient selection of your favourites.
The final selected images are professionally edited by me and provided for download in two resolutions each—online & print.
What if we want to order more images later?
Each package includes a set number of images. But you fell in love with even more shots? No problem—an additional edited image file costs:
- €25, incl. private use and social media
- €32 (net), incl. unlimited commercial usage rights
Just let me know and I’ll be happy to edit the photos for you.
I’d also like my portrait in black & white.
Your black-and-white portrait is already included.
I always deliver studio portraits in a black & white version as well.
With studio shoots, you’ll receive four digital versions of each image:
1x colour & 1x black-and-white, each high-resolution (print)
1x colour & 1x black-and-white, each low-resolution (online)
Can I post my business portrait on Instagram?
Yes, of course.
Publishing on social networks is included as standard.
Whether LinkedIn, Xing, Instagram, or other platforms—you may use your portrait there without restriction.
That’s more important today than ever:
Digital meetings on Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Visibility in professional networks
Personal positioning as part of your professional branding
A professional profile photo creates clarity, recognisability, and trust—even beyond your website.
That’s exactly what the images are for:
So you can present yourself confidently and professionally on your social and professional networks.
Can employees also use their portrait privately and on LinkedIn?
Yes—explicitly.
Your employees may also use the portraits privately and on LinkedIn.
This offers clear added value for companies:
Professional profile photos increase your brand’s visibility in the network.
A consistent visual style creates recognisability.
Your team presents a unified, professional image—even beyond your website.
So you’re not just investing in individual portraits, but in a consistent digital presence for your entire company.
What does “nearby area” mean?
I’ll travel to you—or to the location where we’ll be shooting—coming from Kreuzberg.
Anything within the S-Bahn ring is charged at a flat rate of €30.
Beyond that, and up to 100 km travel distance (according to Google, shortest route) is charged at a flat rate of €80.
Beyond that, travel costs are calculated individually and listed in the quote.
Make-up for my photoshoot?
Your make-up should generally be subtle and ideally applied shortly before the shoot. In the studio, you’ll have the option to touch up your make-up.
Avoid visible lines between face and neck; choose natural tones for lipstick and eyeshadow.
Important: On the day of the shoot, avoid using an oily day cream. Apply it the evening before instead.
Not sure about make-up and hairstyle?
In that case, I’d strongly recommend a professional make-up artist.
Do you offer payment plans?
As a rule, for projects over €1,500, a deposit of around 20% is due upon acceptance of the quote.
After the photoshoot, an interim invoice for the production costs will be issued.
Upon delivery/hand-over of the final edited image files, the final invoice for post-production and usage rights becomes due.
If instalment payments are desired beyond that, they can be agreed individually in writing.
Where can we find your T&Cs?
